National Mental Health Month Events

There’s never been a more important time to focus on our mental health, which is why we’re so excited about supporting National Mental Health Month throughout October. National Mental Health Month is an initiative of the Mental Health Foundation Australia to advocate for and raise awareness of Australian mental health.

Throughout October, Out Doors will be running a range of free events to attract and unite all Australians to raise awareness and promote better mental health for all.

You can help support this great cause by joining us at these events:

Mindfulness Webinar | 20 October

Learn practical mindfulness techniques to help you reduce and manage stress in your life. Run by mindfulness coach, author, and award-winning blogger, Rachael Kable, join us for a FREE 1-hour online webinar, including a 5-minute guided mindfulness technique. We’re beyond excited for the Out Doors Inc. community to experience this special webinar.

Mental Health First Aid Course | 13-14 October

Sign up for a free Mental Health First Aid Course (normally valued at $275) run by two Mental Health First Aid Instructors. In this two-day online course, you can learn how to assist people who are developing or experiencing a mental health problem. Limited capacity: only 10 places available.

Month-Long Walking Challenge | 1-31 October

For the month of October, we’re inviting everyone to #GetOutdoors and walk for mental health. We’ve created 12 walking maps of different areas of Melbourne. Simply download a map (or explore your local neighbourhood), snap a selfie while outdoors, and upload it to social with the hashtag #GetOutdoors to help promote better mental health for us all.

Your health and safety are our number one priority which is why all the events are COVID safe.

Get involved to learn a thing or two, have some fun, and help us promote better mental health for all. We can’t wait to see you there!
