Our weekday programs are not gender-specific and activities vary in physical challenge, ranging from day programs consisting of short bushwalks for those who are less active to 5-day rafting programs for those more active.

Please refer to the program calendar for more information regarding types of activities and locations by clicking here.

For weekday programs all participants are required to meet at our office in Kensington as all programs depart and return to this location.  Participants are responsible for making their own way to and from the Out Doors office.

Staff ratio varies from 1:1 to 1:4 and this depends on how a participant’s mental health may be affected during a program. For weekday programs maximum group size is 12 partcipants.

The cost of the programs vary depending on the funding stream participants use to access Out Doors services.

For NDIS Participants, Out Doors is registered for Core Supports and Capacity Building line items. If you (or your client) are on an NDIS plan, you can use our NDIS Fee Calculator to get a quote in a few easy steps by clicking here.

For participants accessing Out Doors services through the Planned Respite funding stream, the program is subsidised by the Victorian Department of Health and Human Services.  Participants make a tokenistic contribution for participation in the program. The cost is $6 for a day trip and $30 – $60 for an overnight.

Participants are able to submit up to 10 “Expressions of Interest” every six months (January – June and July to December). Participants can expect to be invited to some but not all of the programs they have expressed interest in. This is due to the demand for programs and to ensure that all participants have fair access.
