An adventurous group of participants recently enjoyed four nights of camping on the Upper Murray River. The week started off with a huge thunderstorm that had us all questioning our excitement to paddle down the river. After setting up camp and placing our tents out the way of puddles that were turning into small lakes, we waited out the storm. Tuesday we decided to paddle on Lake Hume to develop our skills and avoid the potential risk of a rapidly rising river! The lake was calm and serene as we cruised around practicing numerous paddle strokes and brushing up on our water awareness. Wednesday morning the fog had parted, and we were blessed with blue skies as we embarked on the beautiful and steady flowing Murray River. Thursday was even more glorious. With the team feeling ready for the challenge, we set off on a more testing section of the river, which had the group elated! Some of us even dared to dip into the frigid water whilst floating towards our campsite in the river bank. #outdoorinc#getoutdoors#canoeing#murrayriver... See MoreSee Less
