We headed Northwest with an eager group of participants to the greater Bendigo area for two days of sightseeing, bushwalking, and good company. We stayed in very comfortable accommodation at Camp Getaway in Axedale. The camp is equipped with table tennis, pool tables, mini golf, and even a telescope! The group spent the days exploring this wonderful area. We visited the Pink Cliffs at Heathcote where we learned about the impact of mining in the area, before enjoying the afternoon by the water at Lake Eppalock. On this trip, we saw turtles, a goanna, kangaroos, wallabies, owls, spiders, and a vast array of native birds. There was so much to explore! ... See MoreSee Less
