Esther Rankmore has lived experience as a carer and is currently employed as a Family Carer Peer Support Worker with Sunshine Adult Acute Psychiatric Unit. Esther’s experience provides a unique perspective that goes beyond theoretical or professional knowledge as she has firsthand understanding of the complex and often overlooked aspects of caregiving, fostering a sense of community and support for those in similar roles. As a strong advocate, Esther works towards raising awareness about the issues faced by carers, promoting policy changes to improve support systems, and providing resources to empower and educate other families in similar situations.
