Out Doors Inc. is pleased to announce the opening of a brand new hub in St Albans, Brimbank.
This hub makes it simpler and more convenient for Brimbank locals to access our range of outdoors adventure and recreation programs for better mental health.
Participants old and new can learn more about the various single and multi-day programs on offer, find out how to get involved (or how to refer someone), and use the hub as a convenient pick-up and drop-off location when attending a program.
The hub is open every Wednesday from 10 am to 3 pm at the St Albans Community Centre (STACC) and staffed by our qualified and very friendly Program Coordinators.
Out Doors Inc. opened this hub to respond to a gap in mental health services in Brimbank . Our aim is to make mental health services accessible to all and ensure people living with a mental health condition can find the support they need in a positive, nature-based environment.
“We’ve taken on the recommendations from The Royal Commission Into Victoria’s Mental Health System and we identified that our services aren’t accessible to the people in Brimbank, especially those that require it.”Cristian Orellana, Out Doors Inc. Program Coordinator
If you or someone you know lives in Brimbank and is interested in our outdoors mental health programs, come by our new office to say hello and have a chat. We look forward to seeing you there!
