Mental Health First Aid - Gain the Knowledge, Skills and Confidence to Help

Have you ever seen someone struggling with their mental health but didn't know how to help?

The signs can be small. And they are often different for everyone. It’s hard to know what’s going on or what to do. Should you broach a conversation with them? How would you invite them to open up? How can you respond in a positive and affirming way? You don’t want to say or do anything wrong. These worries are normal - we hear them from students all the time.

But it doesn’t have to be this tricky. Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) takes the guesswork out of assisting someone with a mental health problem.

In a step-by-step two-day course, you can learn how to confidently assist someone developing a mental health problem or experiencing a mental health crisis.

Be confident, be prepared.
Be one of the Million.

Each year 1 in 5 Australians will experience a mental illness. Many people are not knowledgeable or confident to offer assistance.

Physical first aid is accepted and widespread in our community, however, most do not cover mental health problems.

Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) teaches participants how to assist people who are developing a mental health problem, experiencing a worsening of an existing mental health problem or in a mental health crisis until appropriate professional help is received or the crisis resolves.
