This course is made up of two components: 1) a self-guided online learning module (5-7 hours in length) and 2) an instructor-led module via video conference (x2 sessions, 3 hours each).
Face-to-Face Courses take place on consecutive days at 11 Stubbs St, Kensington VIC. Both days run from 9:30am-4:30pm.
The course is available to any Australian resident over the age of 18.
To keep your MHFA accreditation, you must take an MHFA refresher course every 3 years.

Yes. The eLearning component takes between 5-7 hours and can be completed in as many sessions as you need. We always recommend people to split the eLearning component into a few sessions so you can retain as much information as possible.

No. This is an educational course, not a therapy or support group.

There is no final examination for this course, but participants can opt for Mental Health First Aider Accreditation by successfully completing a short exam following the course.
